Because the profitable speaking podcast is about to elevate your speaker website to new heights. So promoting your new speaker website, I've decided to share with you my virtually famous framework. It's a proven step-by-step approach to help you grow your web business from the ground up. This framework consists of five essential stages. Focus, attract, engage, convert, and educate. I'll be diving deep in each of these stages and exploring how to define your niche, create compelling content, build trust with your audience, convert leads into customers, and position yourself as an industry expert. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced online entrepreneur, the virtually famous framework will provide you with valuable insights and actionable strategies to Skyrocket your online presence and achieve long-term success.

0:01:57
So what is my virtually foumous framework again? It's simple. Focus, attract, engage, convert, and educate. And that's a continuous cycle. So let's have a look at them individually. The first one is focus. You can't do anything in this world when it comes to marketing without having focus. And this is especially true online. You need to define a specific niche to target. This is super important. The web is very controlled by niches and the tighter your niche the better your results will be. So if you do something like dog training, you'll be able to reach a very wide audience but you'll be competing against a lot of sites, whereas if you come down to border collie dog training, That's a much more specific audience and a lot less competition for a site specifically about border collies. If you bring that down again to black and white border collies, you're getting even tighter. So focusing on a specific nature is really important. And we see this in speaking all the time. We talk about being in your lane. And you might talk about leadership. But what specifically about leadership do you talk about? And this is really important because you want to show up when people search for that specific phrase. Being number one for leadership would be fantastic, but you would get a lot of wasted traffic And quite frankly, your chances of being number one for leadership are very low.

0:03:27
So think about that define your niche and get down to the specific niche that you actually specialize in. And this is really important. Once you have that niche, and we talked previously about this going inch wide, mild deep, you can drill down into all the keywords and all the content and articles. Around that niche. Once you've decided on that specific niche, you need to complete extensive keyword research This means going to Google Trends and all the other keyword research tools, even chat TVT, is a good one. And finding all of the keyword phrases around that niche that you're trying to target. Some of those would be somatic searches, so searches for words and phrases that are related to your specific keywords. Some of those will be variations. So three or four-word phrases around the topic, but you need to create this extensive list of keywords. One of my favourite of places to go actually is called answer the public and answer the public you can type in a keyword phrase and then send it off and it'll bring you back all sorts of questions that people are asking Google for the who, where, why, when, what, and dozens of other phrases. And those phrases you can export as a text file and then they can become the titles of your articles and your content, okay, targeting your specific niche. So have a look at those sites and make the biggest list you can, and then there is some tools that you can use to show you if you go into Uber suggest. You can actually see which keywords get the most traffic. Okay? And then target those first and work your way down through the list.

0:05:14
Once you've defined your niche and you've done extensive keyword research, you then need to update your SEO. SEO is absolutely essential on a website. Every website should take advantage of the free traffic that Google can send your way, and the more targeted you niche, the more targeted keyword traffic you're gonna get. The more generalistic you are, the more you're gonna have to buy traffic. This is super important. Nothing wrong with buying traffic, but if you can get free traffic as well, for every one you get for two or three dollars, you pay for the click. If you get one free one, that's two or three dollars in your pocket. So it's absolutely worth doing.

0:05:54
When it comes to SEO, the most important page is the home page. It should talk about what you specifically are targeting as far as your keyword niche goes. So if you're a leadership speaker, you might have a leadership keynote speaker. But if you have a specific type of leadership topic, you should lead with that. So if it might be leadership for the banks keynote speaker. Target that first. Don't necessarily need to put your name there. Because you're the only one of you in the world unless your name is Smith, of course. We do know that there is a lot of Smiths and those sorts of names. But your name will show up anyway in relation to that because your name is all through your website. So I would target the keyword phrase first and worry about your name, secondary. You can be on the about us page. You can have your name up there first. So do your homepage fix your title you can use a plugin for this if you're using WordPress or any other website-building tool.

0:06:53
Do your description. And description needs to be under a hundred and sixty characters. Don't make it too long because you'll be penalized, it'll be cut off anyway. But again, right a couple of good sentences that target specifically what you're trying to be found for. So if it is a leadership keynote speaker, might say, speaks internationally on keynote speaking, to bank staff, etcetera. Again, targeting that key phrase, that key audience that you're after.

0:07:20
And then you need to go through and you need to do every single page in your website. And this is super important. Do the title and the description on every page. As far as post go or blog articles, the titles of the articles should work pretty well on their own, and Google will take content from the page to do the description. So I never really stress about those too much. And you gotta understand I've been doing this since nineteen ninety six. So you got a lot of experience. Don't worry about the post. You must make sure that the articles themselves target the keyword phrases you're after. You then need to go through and check all the pages and have a look.

0:07:57
One of the things that's really important is that you need h one heading. So we have different levels of headings on web pages. H one being the most powerful followed by h two three four and so on down. You should only have one h one heading on your page. If you have any more than that, you need to fix it straight away. Easy way is just to Click on your webpage. Click on your webpage and choose page source or show page source, depending on what browser you're in. And just do a find within your web page for h one. And if it comes up more than twice because it'll be at the front of the tag and at the back of the tag behind your heading of your website, then you need to go and fix that.

0:08:38
Now some websites due to the way that they're constructed by designers, not necessarily by SEO people. Can have multiple h one headings. You don't want this, you will be penalized for it. Okay? It sounds ridiculous, but that's just the way it is. You've got to play by the rules that Google have out there and the fact that matter is there should be one major headline and all the others should reflect that. It goes down the pages. You have subheadlines. Your subheadlines might be h two's or h three's depending on the level. Just like when we do in a article, we have our title of our article, and then we have our subheadings for our different section. The the same rule applies except we have to use these specific tags.

0:09:17
So go through and fix all of your SEO up as far as the on-site SEO goes. That's the most important thing to do when it comes to search engine optimization. Okay? Make sure you're on-site stuff's done. There's all sorts of other things you can do, link building and all that, but Most of them have been proven to be pretty well a waste of time these days. The only other part is internal linking, which is super important, and that means linking between pages within your site. So if you talk about border collie collars, you link those words in that article to write an article about border collies, collars, that sort of thing. So there's some tools you can get for doing that internal linking and you can plug them into a website and use them.

0:10:01
So that's focusing in. That's getting everything focused on a specific topic. To try and be the number one source of information on that topic on the web. That's what you're trying to be. If you wanna be number one, you have to be the number one. At that topic. Attract our next step. Once you've done the on-site SEO, want you to go back and I want you to improve your existing content. Most websites have some pretty low level content on them. They have shorter articles, quick posts, things like that.

0:10:34
Google's looking for quality articles that full of information and that answer the question that the person is searching for. This is a simple rule, and it's not changed since Google started. Someone ask Google a question. They try and show them the right answer by showing them a list of websites, okay, or search engine results pages. Okay. So if your article is a really good article and it answers that question, Google is more likely to rank you highly for that.

0:11:05
Now there's other things that come into that. So if someone clicks the link and comes to your website and reads the article and they stay on there, the longer they stay there, the better it is an indication to Google that it is a good quality article because they've stayed there long enough to actually read it. So make sure it's read worthy. And you can include other things on your existing content. Go through you might find a video that not necessarily you did but someone else did that illustrates what you're talking about. Why don't you embed that YouTube video on your page? People are gonna stop and play the video. They're gonna stay for a little longer and there's a nice signal that you can send. So go through website, check all of your articles, I guarantee you will have some poor quality content on there, and it nest needs to be checked. Once you've done that to existing content, start writing regular quality articles.

0:11:57
Now, I don't call them blogs anymore. Blogging is something you do. When you're telling a story. Okay? When we talk business, we talk about articles. It's the same thing. It's a post as we commonly call it in WordPress or most of the software these days. But write quality articles. We're talking a thousand to two thousand words, quality articles.

0:12:19
Yes, you can use AI to help create articles, but I wouldn't rely on AI alone. I would frame them in my own words. I would put down the framework for the article, the heading, the subheadings, the main bullet points you wanna cover, and then feed that into AI and let it write, and then go back and edit it. But you want good quality articles. Remember, you're not writing for the search engines, you're writing for humans, but you are writing for the search engines, not for humans. So that's your dichotomy. You've got humans reading the articles. So you wanna help them. Right? But the humans won't find the articles unless they are ranked in the search engine. So you're writing for the search engine well. So you have to play by the search engine rules while making sure that you write quality content that humans are gonna wanna read. Because in the end, when they read it and they decide that it's good. That's when they developed an interest in you and maybe they book you for a speaking gig or book your services or buy your products or whatever it is. So remember, there's always these two sides to articles.

0:13:23
Once you've done your writing, you need to optimize it. So go through and check your SEO, check your title, your H1 headings, your description tag, all those sorts of things. You need to post it in your website and then you need to share it. Don't just assume that the only place it needs to be is on your website. Okay? That's really important, but you need to share it around. Push it out on social media. There's plenty of tools that can auto push your content out. Even tools like Mailchimp can actually read the RSS feed from your website, which is where all your posts, e.g. blogs show up. And once a week can automatically create an email with a short paragraph from each article that you've written that week and send it out to all your email subscribers. Okay? That's called RSS to email. It's been a feature for many years. So you don't even need to send the email. You just gotta write the articles and My template will do your emailing for you. Within your template, you've already created. So there's so many things.

0:14:22
Engage in the third step. You need to build an irresistible lead magnet. You got people coming to your site. They may never come back again. This is really important. How many times you've been to a website? And then gone away and come back and try to find it again the next day. And it's like it's been swallowed up by the web, never to be seen again. So make sure there's a reason for people to subscribe. Give them the an irresistible lead magnet so that they will give you their email address. That way, you can keep marketing to them over and over again until they ask to be removed from your list or they buy.

0:14:59
Lead magnets need to be something that can be applied quickly. A fifty page book is not necessarily on lead magnet. It might be if it's really relevant information. That people who are interested in your topic would find really useful. This is super important. A checklist or anything like that is also an exceptionally easy one to do because you can do a checklist, you might do a little video that watch the video learn how to use the checklist in their business. Okay. Make it irresistible. Make it so simple for them just to go, yes, here's my email address. I really want that. Okay. It's gotta be good.

0:15:34
Make sure you use auto responders like MailChimp to collect the e mail through a form and then automatically send out a link to the to the lead magnet. This is really important. Have it so that unless they give you their email, they don't get it. They've gotta give you a real email because If they don't, the auto responder will not send it to the fake address. Don't get the email and take them to the download page. Never.

0:16:00
So use automate automation. It's super powerful. Most email programs these days contact and all of those. They all have this ability to Collect an email address and then email something out to someone. Again, send them to a page on your website to download the free gift. Once you've got them on your list, build trust through some automatic content. Something like tip of the day, okay, that you've set So you've got three hundred sixty five tips. And every day, your email automation system just sends them a tip automatically. And make them good because you want people to read them and go, oh, that's awesome. Oh, that's awesome. Over and over again and reinforces you as the person that they need to engage with. So you're engaging with them, but by seeing the good information, they want to engage with you and follow you and learn more about you. So Using automation and auto content is a fantastic way to build trust going forward.

0:17:01
That might be weekly, it might be daily, it might be seven days in a row. It's up to you to work out what works for you. We can talk about that another time. But make sure you do. Okay? Fourth step, we need to convert. It's all very well to set up all this content and track people and then engage with them. But if don't ask for the sale, we're not going to get anybody buying.

0:17:23
It's that simple. You've got to ask people to buy. So you need to go through your site and work out where you need buy buttons. Now the first place, the most important place is the top right hand corner next to your menu. That is your book on appointment by now. Book me whatever it happens to be in your case. That's a super important place to have a button. Okay? If you don't have one there, you should seriously think about it.

0:17:48
But also, within your articles, you can have little insertion ads. There's plugins that allow you to insert ads automatically somewhere between the third and the tenth paragraph, and it'll automatically put them in randomly. You can put a little bar ad for your own products or little bar to book you for the next conference that they have. It's up to you what you want in there. So make sure you're asking for the sale. It's been proven. The difference between asking and just assuming people gonna make the sale is a lot of money difference. Make sure you're bonus up when you sell things, add some extra bonus products to it. People don't mind buying something, but if you can bonus it up with a few extra gifts, that helps the process along. So bonusing up is a really cool thing.

0:18:36
And make sure that you track your results and improve on them. Make sure you're using Google Analytics and tools like that to track conversions. If you're getting a hundred people to a page about booking you, and you're only getting one booking, then you need to have a look at your information and work out why there's only one person contacting me. If they're all going to the booking page, it means they're interested in booking you. If they weren't going to your booking page, which you had a hundred people going to your website, and only one person booked you, then I'd say actually maybe your booking page is actually doing pretty well. So look at your different results and look at where people are going, what they're doing. A common path I see on business websites as people come to the homepage and then go to the contact us page. That generally tells me that those people know who you are and they wanna get in contact with you. Okay? That's a pretty simple assumption, isn't it? We know that they know who you are because they've gone straight to contact us. If they didn't know who you were, they'd read more about you before they went to the contact. Interpreter your results.

0:19:40
Lastly, our fifth step is educating. Once we've got people onto the site, we've engaged with them. We've asked for the sale. They bought something from us. We need to keep them within our realm within our reach. So we need to continue to educate them on an ongoing basis. Because there's other opportunities to engage with them down the track. There's other products, there's other courses, might be other speaking engagements. They might not they might book you this time and then they see an email come from you and they're talking to a friend and they go, oh, you need to book this speaker. That were fantastic. And I just got this email the other day when they talked about that topic, but whatever happens to be.

0:20:20
Now, the hardest about educating people is the continuous cycle of new information. So one of the things you can do that's super powerful is you can curate content. Now everybody thinks that they have to be the expert. But if you're the expert that it curates the best content for people, that saves them time. So when I talk about curation, I mean, that you read all the articles about that topic and you go, that one's particularly good up like that video, whatever it happens to be. And then you share it with the people on your mail list or your social media. You don't have to be the only one with a voice. You become the go to expert because you share the best information. So leverage other people's information if it's really good. I've seen this time and time again in my AI marketing group. On Facebook, I share videos from other people, not just videos I've done. Why? Because I'm impressed by it. It's good stuff. It's maybe a step above my level, and I've learned something from it. So therefore, I share it with other people.

0:21:28
Curating content is a great way to help educate people. Obviously, you're still writing new regular articles right back in attract, we talked about that. Make sure you connect and you share that content when you find it. So using your email newsletter, social media, doing some videos, you might do a video and say, hey, read this great article this week, and I'm gonna link to it in the bottom of this video. And also I read this, and here's an update on that. That's your YouTube channel stuff. Whatever you wanna do. But make sure you're getting that information out and you're sharing it with people.

0:22:01
And the third part about education is gives you the opportunity to offer new products and services. So if you're staying in contact with people and you're educating them on a regular basis, when you make an offer for a new product, people are gonna be interested because you've kept them Right there with all the latest information you've kept them up to date, you've made them happy learning more about the topic that you teach. So you can offer new products and services from time to time. And I highly recommend that people want to buy from you if you're the person that knows the most about the topic. So just to run through them again, there's focus, attract, engage, convert, and edge cadence known as my virtually famous framework. And I do have a course on that actually, which I should make available. So as we wrap up today's episode, I hope you found my discussion on the virtually famous framework insightful and valuable in your journey to grow your web business.

0:22:58
Remember that success requires consistency, dedication and a willingness to adapt by implementing the strategies I've outlined and focus attract engaged, convert, and educate stages. You'll be well on your way to establishing a strong online presence and thriving in each. Don't forget that growing your web business is an ongoing process. So continue to learn, refine your strategies, and engage with your audience. I'm confident that by following the virtually famous framework, you'll achieve the success you've been dreaming of. I took over twenty years to develop this framework, and it's not the first one. But it's certainly the one that pulls everything together in an easy to follow. System.
